Well, I had a great Christmas. Yeah, I just sat around and worked on college applications, occasionally stopping to dab away my tears with my embroidered handkerchief. Don't worry, all of the tears were internal. Also, I don't actually own any handkerchiefs. I use fanfiction and tumblr to console myself instead.

On the plus side, my 3DS came, and when I went to Target to buy my charger (because Nintendo doesn't send you a charger with your 3DS... those scumbags...), I also picked up a copy of Omega Ruby. My Christmas gift was that after dinner, I was allowed to play until I went to bed. Naturally, I stayed up until 3 am and got to Mauville City. If any of you guys are Pokemon ORAS players, are there any pokemon recommendations? I current have a Marshtomp and Ralts (plus TWO Surskits for some reason, one Zigzagoon HM slave, and one Gulpin because Poison beats Grass), and I plan on creating a team with Swampert, Gardevoir, Froslass, Groudon, Altaria, and Mawile. I might swap out Mawile for Aggron, though, because even with Mega Evolution Mawile only has a base stat total of 480... Man, I'm such a nerd. Once I finish TLC Shipweeks, I'll probably draw ORAS fan art. 

There's a new Litograph contest, and I would enter, but the design is for Outlander, by Diana Gabaldon, which I have yet to read. Sigh. I've been meaning to read it, especially since the TV show is so good and abookutopia adores it. First things first, though. College applications. I have four left. Three are due 1/1, one is due 1/2. I'm screwed

PS: In case any of you were curious, I "survived" finals with two Bs. Now it's time to try and survive COLLEGE APPLICATIONS. 

    In honor of the great Queen Porsheee, who is not only a fantastic artist/writer but also an overall fantastic person (who's way too nice like goodness how do people like you exist in this bitter bitter world), I'm going to dedicate this journal to her greatness. 
    She does this crazy thing with colors, where everything ends up looking super vibrant and pretty. She's also crazy thoughtful. I mean, she wrote a long The Lunar Chronicles fan fiction, made it into a book with a cool cover, and gave it to Marissa Meyer. Excellent writing, by the way. The story is down below, in case anyone's interested. The cover sort of counts as art, because it is a very very nice cover. Gawk away, readers. I'll be down in hell, having sold my soul to Satan in exchange for a chance at surviving finals and college apps, to return your jaw to you after it finishes dropping.
